Please bear with me for a bit while I get my computer repaired after a lightning strike. The storm tore down trees, burnt up fence chargers, and scared the puddin’ out of me. We are fine and I will be back with catch up posts when the computer is repaired.

This site is about my life as a farmgirl, wife, mother and grandmother. We have a beautiful 22 year old granddaughter and and the cutest 3 year old grandson. We own two farms in Craig County Virginia, leasing one and raising beef cattle on the other.
I know how you feel Cuz! Now we are facing a major hurricane. We are about 200 miles from the coast . I remember damage and outages past hurricanes. We have friends at the coast who will not leave their homes. We are praying hard for their safety.

Wow! I lost a microwave oven to a thunderstorm recently. Amazing the damage they can do without a direct strike! A power surge did mine in 😦

The lightning comes in through our phone lines got the modem and the computer! Normally I unplug everything when I hear thunder in the distance but this time it snuck in on us!
