It’s taken me a month to write this because I start crying! In January 2004 this little lady was given to me from my husband for a Christmas gift.
Due to the fact that it has taken me two weeks to get this far in the post I will just show you some of our pictures of her as she grew. It’s just too hard to put into words what a special dog/pet/family member she was!!
Oh she is beautiful .. thinking of you

Oh Rita and to think I was able to talk to her when I was there. It’s so hard losing our pets they become part of the family unit. Cry my dear friend. It is ok. She came into a warm loving home and was a very happy girl. Much love. Imagine me giving you a strong hug.

I am so sorry to hear about Sassy… it is so painful to loose a member of the family. I dread and try not to think about loosing our 3 boys… I just hug them and pet on them a little more when those worries pop up. I want as many positive memories as I can get. I pray God will help you though this trial and bring you some sort of peace about it, even though that seems so hard. I am so sorry for your loss.

Thanks sweetie and do cherish those boys while you can. Twelve years is a short time but we do have such wonderful memories of our girl!!

I’m glad you have those memories. Our oldest puppy boy is already 8, the middle 6, and the baby kitty is 1. So I am taking lots of picture like it seems you did to keep these times with me forever. I hope the loss is getting a little easier each day, but she will always be in your heart 🙂

So so so very sorry for your loss. No matter how many animals we farmers have there’s always special ones who tear at our hearts when we lose them more than others. What a loving home and life she had!

Isn’t it crazy how we get so attached to our animal friends and you’re right it is a cycle but nonetheless heartbreaking.
I hope you are well and happy and would so love to see you and John again. I hope you are enjoying retirement as much as I am. We’ve so much to catch up on! Love ya pretty lady and hope to see you in the spring.
